Seller Central Walmart: how do you sign up, log in and use Walmart Seller Center?

Quick answer

Seller Central Walmart is what most sellers search for, but Walmart calls it Seller Center: the dashboard at seller.walmart.com where Marketplace sellers list items, manage orders, set prices, track performance, read analytics and run Walmart Connect ads. You apply at seller.walmart.com/signup, log in with your Seller Center credentials, and manage company details, users and 2-step verification from Settings. Walmart charges no setup or monthly fee.

  • Only Admin users can add people. Roles are Admin, Read and Write, and Read Only, and every login can be protected with 2-step verification.
  • Stuck or locked out? Use Help, then Contact support, or Contact support on the login page if you cannot get in.

What is Walmart Seller Center?

Walmart Seller Center is the web portal Walmart Marketplace sellers use to run their account. Walmart describes it as the place to register your company, manage settings, view reports and handle items and orders. Sellers often type "seller central Walmart" or "Walmart seller central" because that is Amazon's name for its own tool. On Walmart, the correct name is Seller Center, and it lives at seller.walmart.com.

Seller Center is one of three ways Walmart lets you connect a catalog. The other two are a direct API connection and an approved solution provider. Most brands use Seller Center for day-to-day work even when listings arrive through an API or a feed tool.

Using Seller Center costs nothing on its own. Walmart says Marketplace has "zero setup, monthly, or hidden fees" and charges a referral fee per sale, mostly 6% to 15% by category. The full fee table is in our guide to selling on Walmart.

How do you sign up for a Walmart Seller Center account?

Walmart Seller Center sign up starts at seller.walmart.com/signup. Before you apply, have the seven minimum qualifications Walmart lists ready: a business tax ID (SSN not accepted) or business license number, documents that verify your business name and address, a history of marketplace or ecommerce success, GS1 UPCs, a catalog that follows the Prohibited Products Policy, fulfillment through WFS or a US warehouse with returns capability, and an account with a compatible payment processor. Once you are in, account setup runs in this order (Walmart guide updated 31 August 2026):

  1. Business verification. Legal business name, entity type, phone, registration number and the personal ID of the applicant. Walmart says this takes a few minutes to a few business days and may include photo ID and facial recognition checks.
  2. Payment setup. Payouts go to Marketplace Wallet or an approved third-party payout provider; ACH direct deposit is not offered. You have 30 days after entering business details to finish this step or the account is declined.
  3. Store setup. Add customer service details, choose WFS or seller-fulfilled shipping and add a verifiable return address.
  4. Catalog setup. Set up items by matching existing listings, one at a time or by bulk upload, or import from another marketplace. Walmart says account setup can take up to four hours to finalize after you add inventory.
  5. Publish. Items go live on Walmart.com only once account setup is complete. A New Seller Payment Hold applies at first; its length depends on your country of incorporation.

What are the main sections of Walmart Seller Center?

Walmart groups Seller Center into Setup, Manage and Grow. This is what each tab does, from Walmart's own walkthrough:

Tab names from Walmart Marketplace's "Navigating Seller Center" page, checked 7 October 2026. Walmart moves labels from time to time, so use the search bar at the top of Seller Center if a tab has moved.

The two tabs that decide whether you grow are Performance and Listing quality. Walmart's algorithm rewards complete, accurate items and clean fulfillment, and the Performance tab shows the metrics Walmart is grading you on before it acts.

Doing $100K+ a month and aiming for $1M? Seller Center shows you the problems; someone still has to fix them. For brands doing $100K+ a month, Shaazford runs Walmart end to end for a flat $1,600 a month ($500 a month off both when bundled with Amazon), and the audit starts with your Performance and Listing quality tabs.

Which Walmart Seller Center settings should you set up first?

Settings sits behind the gear icon at the top right of the Seller Center home page. Set these before you scale:

  • Shipping Profile: your shipping information and preferences, including transit times and return addresses.
  • Account, Partner Profile and Financial Settings: your account settings, business profile and tax profile. Tax details must match IRS or government records exactly.
  • Company Info: business contact details anyone on the account can update.
  • People and permissions: only Admin users can add users. Admin can manage everything, including API credentials and legal agreements; Read and Write can run operations and reports; Read Only can view data and download reports.
  • 2-step verification: each user picks an authenticator app (a six-digit code that changes every 30 seconds), email or text (codes valid for 10 minutes).

Give every person their own login. Shared logins break 2-step verification and leave you with no record of who changed what.

Is there a Walmart Seller Center app?

Yes. The Walmart Seller app is available for iOS and Android, for US Marketplace sellers only. You log in with your Seller Center credentials, and you must have enrolled and logged in to Seller Center on desktop first.

Walmart says the app lets you ship orders, add products, fix listing action items, answer customers in the Message Center, see daily, weekly and monthly sales, and check WFS inventory and shipments. Alerts cover new orders, messages, at-risk orders and out-of-stock items. Account settings such as 2-step verification still need the desktop version.

What do you do if Walmart Seller Center is down or you need support?

Walmart's help pages list these routes:

  • Logged in: select Help in the Seller Center menu bar, then Contact support. Describe the issue in 5 to 200 words and pick the closest category.
  • Cannot log in: go to the Seller Center login page, select Contact support, choose your market and pick a category.
  • Marty: Walmart's GenAI assistant inside Seller Center for finding answers and tools.
  • Quick Learn and the global search bar: announcements, training videos and walkthroughs, and a search that jumps to any Seller Center section.
