Guide · eBay Seller Hub

What is eBay Seller Hub, and how do you use it?

Quick answer

eBay Seller Hub is eBay's free dashboard for running a selling account, at ebay.com/sh. It brings orders, listings, marketing, advertising, your Store, performance, payments, research and reports into ten tabs. Business sellers are opted in automatically; private sellers need one sale. Use it to ship orders, edit listings in bulk, read sales and traffic, research sold prices and schedule time away.

Key takeaways

  • Seller Hub is free. You pay only for what you buy inside it: a Store subscription, Promoted Listings, express payouts.
  • Ten tabs: Overview, Orders, Listings, Marketing, Advertising, Store, Performance, Payments, Research and Reports.
  • The Reports tab handles bulk work: CSV or XLSX uploads to create, revise, relist and end listings, downloads of 1 to 90 days, and scheduled reports from hourly to monthly.
  • Time Away lets you keep selling for up to 15 days or pause sales for up to 30 days, with an automatic reply to buyers.

What is eBay Seller Hub, and is it different from Seller Center?

Seller Hub is the working dashboard: eBay calls it the central place for managing your eBay business, free to use, with its selling tools in one location. You reach it at ebay.com/sh after signing in. eBay's help pages say you need at least one sale to use it; its Reports help adds that business sellers are opted in automatically and private sellers get access after their first sale.

Seller Center (ebay.com/sellercenter) is something else: eBay's education site, with guides, fee explainers and seller news. People search for one when they mean the other. If you want to do something, it is Seller Hub; if you want to read how, it is Seller Center.

What is on the eBay seller dashboard? Every Seller Hub tab

The Overview page summarizes tasks, orders, listings and feedback. Each tab goes deeper:

Doing $100K+ a month and aiming for $1M? On a 30-minute call we read your eBay numbers the way we read our own: selling costs, ad fees, seller level and listing gaps. Your 3 biggest leaks and a 90-day plan follow in writing within 48 hours.

What eBay seller reports can you get from Seller Hub?

The Reports tab is built for high-volume sellers. eBay lists what it does: create listings in bulk; upload, download and schedule reports; fulfil orders and mark them shipped; manage feedback; and find and fix listing errors in bulk.

  • Uploads: from Upload, select Get template, choose Listings or Orders and the template type (create listings, create drafts, edit price and quantity, add tracking and feedback), fill it in, and upload as .xlsx or .csv. eBay says uploads usually finish in under 15 minutes and produce a report of every action.
  • Downloads: orders and listings reports for a date range of 1 to 90 days.
  • Schedules: order reports on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly schedule, with a run time and an optional end date.
  • Orders report: the Manage orders page downloads a CSV of every order in the current results, including whether it sold via Promoted Listings and how much tax eBay collected and remitted.
  • 1099-K detail report: Payments tab, Taxes, 1099-K details, Generate.
  • Merchant Integration Platform: for SKU-based catalogs, a separate CSV or XML feed that eBay says can upload over 50,000 SKUs in under 30 minutes.

Templates and reports from the old File Exchange tool do not carry over; rebuild them in Reports.

Which eBay seller tools in Seller Hub matter most for a brand?

Five tools earn their place every week:

  • Product research: 3 years of eBay sales data with average sold price, sell-through and seller counts. See our eBay sold listings guide.
  • Sourcing insights: category demand against supply, flagging high-search, low-listing categories. Included for business sellers with a Basic Store or above.
  • Advertising dashboards: impressions, clicks, sales within 30 days of a click, ad fees, conversion rate, ROAS and average cost per click.
  • Performance: selling costs as a percentage of sales is the single number that tells you whether eBay is profitable.
  • Team access: delegate access to your account so staff or an agency can do set tasks. eBay confirms it works with Product research.

We work inside Seller Hub every week for brands doing $100K+ a month on eBay: reports, ad dashboards and seller level, as part of Omnichannel Growth at $3,200 a month, or Essentials at $500 a month for a dedicated specialist on a set task list.

How do you set eBay away settings (Time Away)?

eBay's away setting is called Time Away. You still have to ship orders placed before it starts and answer open requests, and your fees, including any Store subscription, keep running.

  1. Open Time Away settings and select Schedule time away.
  2. Choose Allow item sales or Pause item sales. Allowing sales keeps listings live with a notice and pushes out delivery estimates, for up to 15 days. Pausing hides fixed price listings from search for up to 30 days; auctions stay visible with a notice.
  3. Set start and end dates and select Apply. Time away runs from 12:01am on the start date to 11:59pm on the end date. Today's date starts it immediately; hiding listings can take a few hours.
  4. Add an automatic response under Automatic response, so buyers who message you get your return date.

eBay's advice: start a day before you leave and end a day after you return. Delivery dates do not update for some items (Second Chance Offers, auto-accepted offers, local pickup, digital items, Authenticity Guarantee sneakers), so adjust handling time on those yourself.

Is there an eBay Seller Hub app?

eBay's help pages describe Seller Hub on the web. On mobile, the eBay app lets you create, edit and monitor listings, relist items and add tracking, and Product research is available in the mobile apps as well. For bulk edits, reports and ad management, use Seller Hub on a computer.
