How does Amazon Lending work in 2026?

Amazon no longer lends directly. Today offers arrive as invitations in Seller Central; at Accelerate 2026 Amazon said it will open the program to every seller by year-end.

- Applying does not affect your personal credit, per Amazon. Most decisions come within one business day.
What is Amazon Lending?
Amazon Lending is a program that offers business financing to eligible US small and medium-sized sellers "through its third-party financing providers." Amazon's own FAQ is direct: Amazon Lending "has discontinued offering Amazon loans directly to sellers" and now connects sellers with third parties.
What Amazon adds is the data. With your consent, it shares your selling history, sales data and order volumes with the provider through an API, which Amazon says often leads to faster approvals and larger amounts than traditional lending.
What loans and financing does the Amazon Lending program offer?
| Product | Provider | Published terms |
|---|---|---|
| Term loan | Lendistry (Amazon Community Lending) | $10,000 to $250,000, terms up to three years; fixed interest; APR depends on Amazon store performance |
| Term loan | QuickBooks Capital (issued by WebBank) | $1,500 to $250,000, 6 to 24 months; fixed interest; no paid QuickBooks subscription required |
| Term loan | Uncapped | Up to $5 million, terms up to 18 months; fixed fee as a percentage of the loan; no prepayment penalty |
| SBA 7(a) loan | iBusiness Funding | Variable rate, prime plus 1.5% to 6.5% by loan size; lender fees capped up to $2,500 |
| Merchant cash advance | Parafin | Up to $2 million; fixed capital fee, no interest, repaid as a share of future sales |
| Line of credit | Slope | Up to $5 million; interest only on what you draw; no origination or maintenance fees |
| Line of credit | Uncapped | Fixed rate on the drawn balance; limit grows with revenue; typically a one-year term |
Amazon's October 2025 guide also lists a QuickBooks APR range of 9.99% to 36%. Rates and amounts for your business are shown in the invitation.

Who is eligible for Amazon Lending?
Today, sellers who receive an invitation. Amazon says invitations appear automatically in Seller Central when you meet a provider's criteria, which "might be based on criteria like your credit profile, sales history, or other business performance factors." Amazon reviews accounts constantly, so an invitation can appear any week.
That is changing. At Accelerate 2026 (recap published 29 September 2026), Amazon said it is "opening its lending program to every seller by year-end, dropping the required invitation," and has added partners including SBA-backed loans up to $5 million. Until that is live in your account, Amazon's advice for improving eligibility is to keep account health strong, earn excellent customer feedback and keep sales growing steadily.
How do you apply for an Amazon Lending loan?
- Check for invitations. In Seller Central, hover over Growth and select Lending.
- Review the terms. Compare amounts, rates and payment terms, then choose up to the full amount you are eligible for and click Start application.
- Share your selling data. Agree to share your Amazon selling data with the provider; you are redirected to its site.
- Complete the application. Most applicants finish in minutes. Providers may ask for more documents.
- Get the decision and funds. Amazon says most decisions come within one business day; approved funds are typically disbursed within two business days.
Amazon's FAQ says applying through Amazon Lending will not impact your personal credit.
How do you compare a loan with a merchant cash advance?
Amazon's own examples make the maths clear. A merchant cash advance of $10,000 with a $1,000 capital cost means you repay $11,000 in total, through a fixed percentage of sales: at a 9% payment rate, $1,000 of sales in a period means a $90 payment. Repayment flexes with sales, but the fee is fixed even if you repay quickly (Parafin offers a partial rebate for early payoff).
A term loan has fixed payments and interest. A line of credit charges interest only on what you draw. The useful question is not "which is cheapest" but "what does this money produce, and how fast": inventory that sells through in 60 days can carry a cost that a slow-moving SKU cannot. This is general information, not financial advice; read every term before you accept.
